blackpig
Hello all, I've got a Zoom mrs1266cd and was wondering if anyone with similar has ever had a problem with a strange noise coming through when recording - a kind of fast thumping sound. The sound comes through on the finished recording too. I heard it on a cd a friend made himself with his own machine - either a Boss or Yamaha multitrack. Any ideas? Alndln
Not really sure. The only thing that comes to mind is both the Zoom and Boss units have built in drum machines and maybe your both getting track bleed from that,or possibly the built in metronome. DC
Ghost in the machine Honestly, it sounds like an input issue. I'd say the track that sounds weird was recorded too hot, or maybe you've got a delay patched in and you don't know it. Be more specific. -David http://www.garageband.com/artist/MichaelangelosMuse
blackpig
Nope - no delays patched in, I like to record dry and add effects afterwards during mixdown. No clip l.e.d.s were on either. I might try fiddling with the bass roll-off on the mic (Behringer B1 - all I could afford).
