Robman2
"Ibanez, the untold story" http://www.ibanez.com/news/untold_story.asp I saw it at their NAMM booth before the Friday start time. Thumbed through it, coffee table type of writ. I didn't get time to go back and buy it. Ordered from WLAM, paid retail. Very cool book, taking in much history, company, individuals along the way, Elger (Medley, Copy period. Great intro by Steve Vai... The coolest part so far, a two page George Benson version of how they got together and built that series. He attests that jazz players don't favor it (GB 10) because it articulates every note. Follows with he gave one to Prince, who plays it often apparently. I stopped reading, played all four jazz boxes I own and he's correct. It just sounds better then my other boxes, sustains a bit longer etc. The GB 10's small footprint was so he could put it in overhead, not baggage and the voulte head stock because his past boxes, tended to crack. (I had to look that word up as my use was relative to orchestration) I own four copy models, and the book helps date the ones with no serials. TONS of pictures...Really a cool book. $40 US. janalon
I have recently become a total Ibanez fan (not far behind is Epiphone). Could you throw a link up? Thanks! ~j~ http://www.wordsareworlds.net
