'61 Les Paul stays Globals go

For the next two weeks my Gibsons are riding the wall at my home while my Globals are getting all the action. I still am holding out hope that someone on this board can inform me who manufactured Global guitars (older ones, late 60's - early 70's). I can't believe the necks and the fret jobs on these knock-offs of the Gibson Les Paul. Just add real pick-ups, coil splitters and a polarity switch and you have every tone at your disposal!
