MetalHed Posted April 12, 2004 Share Posted April 12, 2004 okay my question is. is cracking your knucles bad for your hands or not, because i always do it before playing and it feels good and if i dont do it i can play well so what´s th answer is it good or bad? why drink and drive when you can smoke a joint and fly!!! I tend to think that it's more likely to be detrimental than not, though I do believe that if you can crack and loosen them up more gently, it's better than really grindin'em. If you can gently get them to crack, or better yet, carefully pull and tug them into release, it's gotta be "low impact'... The noise you hear is the fluid redistrubuting itself becuase of the pressure caused by the pushing or pulling(whatever your cracking technique is)on your fingers.
