Rim
Excerpt from the Musician\'s Friend description : "A complete Fender® Acoustic outfit including a guitar with nato body and a spruce top." Spruce is, of course, wood so it has a solid top. I'm not sure what nato is, but for the price they're selling it, I would bet it's some kind of laminate. aka riffing Double Post music: Strip Down http://rimspeed.com http://loadedtheband.com

Other than the fact this guitar is part of a value pack that reaks of cheap.. there is no way from a picture to determine if it's laminate or solid. There are two easy ways to tell, however. The slightly more difficult way; Take a small mirror and inspect the grain of the wood inside the sound hole. Also look at the grain of the inside of the back wood. If these grain patterns do not match up perfectly with the exposed grain of the top and/or back, then you have laminated wood. The easiest way; Check the Fender web page. I did, and although I could find no listing for the DG-8, the DG-9 description reads: The DG-9 features a genuine satin finished mahogany body and a select spruce top for a sound and look that's unique in its price range.Select is an industry code word for laminated wood. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
