llib
Wow, lots of great ones have been listed. One disc that I really like is Andy Summers "the last dance of mr.X", Tony Levin on bass, Gregg Bissonette on drums. I don't think there is a bad tune on this one. Stanley Clarke "live at the greek" with Larry Carlton on guitar. Dixie Dreggs "california scream'in" just when you thought Steve Morse couldn't get any more amazing. Pat Metheny "american gararge" the first instrumental album I ever owned.

RDuke
For acoustic guitar instrumental, check out Billy McLaughlin , either FingerDance, or Out of Hand. His melodies are first rate. He also uses a two-handed technique on the neck. "Midwatch" on Out of Hand is my personal favorite. XNU8D
Most of Glenn Phillips collection, and if your new to him, he has a complilation of early stuff from '93 called "echos" Very interesting stuff. Buy directly from him at his website instead of other retailers. He just gets more $$. http://www.angelfire.com/ga2/glennphillips Note: this is no toad spocket guy Who keeps moving my chair?
