A few Jimi experts will chime in and some cool pre-Experience Chitlin' Circuit tunes will be played. Here's the info. "I am pleased to announce something that I have wanted to do for a VERY LONG TIME... We are going to to have a chat session about the music, life and times of the... "MASTER OF THE STRATOCASTER" JAMES...MARSHALL.....HENDRIX In honor of his birthday * This session will be hosted by our own Gary Tyson who is an expert on the life and music of Jimi Hendrix. And it will take place in the Soul-Patrol chat room, located at the following url: http://www.soul-patrol.com/chat * As a part of this chat session we are also going to be listening to a special broadcast, featuring the music of Jimi Hendrix which has been prepared for us by Gary that you can listen to at the following URL: http://www.soul-patrol.net/gary1.ram * The 1 hour broadcast features music and anaylsis spanning the entire career of Jimi Hendrix, from his days on the "Chitlin Circuit" to his days as a pop music superstar as the front man for the Jimi Hendrix Experience to his "Post Experience" Jazz/Funk excusions, just prior to his early death. We will also get into some of his continuing impact on our society at large. As such these are some of the areas we will also be discussing during the chat session as we listen to the music! I didn't even get online yesterday, as it was Thanksgiving (for me...Thanksgiving doesn't necessarily fall on Thursday when you're a shiftworker). Perhaps next time.
