There are weather weenies around here that have to speak in terms of vort maxes, Lagrangians, dtheta/dz, stability indices...they can't talk about anything but weather. Makes me wonder if these people talk about anything else. OFF TOPIC. They don't have a life. I hang out on a guitar forum. There are guitar weenies here, that can't discuss anything but pickup mods...re-fret jobs...what kind of tubes to put in their '58 Twin...okay...fine...but, do you do that shit in a normal conversation with friends? Like, if you and your buddy are backpackers, and you're talking about outdoor gear, and some hot looking lady walks by, do you slap each other and remind each other that talking about her nice looking tailsection is off topic? Look at the list of topics... 99.999 % of 'em are guitar related. My post was directed at Gatorwing, who, as his handle implies, is a University of Florida Gator. I went to Florida State, the Seminoles...and the Seminoles and Gators are arch-rivals. So, when Auburn beat the Gators last night 23-20...I just HAD to rub it in to Gatorwing. Okay...I'll rephrase my post. I wonder what kind of STRINGS those Auburn Tigers use on their electrics when they're writing songs about beating the Florida Gators? GEEEEEEZZZZZ.... Perhaps I should have included a few smiley faces to make clear the nature of my jibe. I admit my lower NY style of humor sometimes gets mis-interpreted. I virtually never flame anyone for real. This was meant as a light moment - but I could see how it might not be seen as such. Peace BTW just to make amends - heres an off topic point from yours truly. There are better (and safer) ways to do what that kid is doing...I hope he doesn't fry himself. They don't make the Mike Matthews anymore, but I think they did reissue it. I would check. One of the KC buskers (street musicians) uses one...sounds pretty good. Next time I see him I'll ask him where he got it.
