sbrock1san.rr.com
I agree Phil Collins became really embarrassing in the 80's and don't even get me started about the "Tarzan" soundtrack. I still love early Genesis and a lot of songs he did with them and SOME of his solo work. Selling England by the Pound will always be my favorite album and after almost 30 years it still has magic for me. Phil Collins did squander talent but not just his own talent. He stifled the creativity of Banks, Hackett, and Rutherford and that is a crime. BTW- he did have Daryl Stuermer in his band and that was a good thing. I wasn't very impressed with him back in the day but his three solo albums are fantastic. Very melodic instrumental pop/jazz/rock, not too unlike Lee Ritenour .....anyone intesrested might want to check out "Live and Learn" and "Another Side of Genesis".
