jazzfish
Hi, earlier Iv read about how the intros/outros were omitted from the RD700SX(compared to the RD700) Does the S90ES have similar drum patterns whereby you can start/end a song with rhythm patterns that you can play a rhodes/bass sound over it for eg? Or are these synths incapable of having those intro/outro (16beat pop, samba haha)patterns like the ones in cheap keyboards.
Jazzwee
The S90ES is capable of changing arpeggios on the fly and it inserts the changed arpeggio in the next bar nicely. However, for jazz, i found that the drum arpeggios are a bit too busy for my taste. I like to use it for practice but to do so I tweak it to remove excessive variatons by blocking certain notes (like a low Tom). The other non-jazz arpeggios are ok but I'm not too good of a judge as I don't use them. Is this good for live performance? Not for me but it is usable for others, especially with the changing arpeggios. It is not an intro or outro per se but could be used in that fashion.
