gilwe Posted July 19, 2006 Share Posted July 19, 2006 There is some procedure to check this out. However, I find that indeed the JX stuff is prone to fail. I got a bad MKS70 and unfortunately a bad JX8P as well (the CPU and ROMS heat very much and it freezes from time to time after restart). Ed Coury Posted July 20, 2006 Share Posted July 20, 2006 This isn't as intense as the buy/sell/buy of a board.....but I did buy a couple of yamaha FC7 expression pedals at $35 each. Upon buying a Roland B3 clone, I sold one and bought the Roland EV-7 for $170! The Roland felt "cheap" all around, and it did not feel as good as the Yamaha. So I sold the EV-7 and bought another FC7 (had to also buy an adapter to give the Yamaha the correct ring/tip connection to work with the Roland). "Oh yeah, I've got two hands here."
