Jazz+ Posted March 3, 2005 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Stack coins on a key until it drops.The US quarter weighs just under 5.67 grams. A nickel weighs 5 grams and a penny weighs 2.5 grams. If the coins seem to wide for the key you can hold down the keys on either side of the key you are measuring. You can also measure the "up weight" by removing coins until the key is able to travel back up.
