I guess this is not really surprising since Japanese companies seem to know how to compete in a productive manner. And though you would like to be filled in, Im not sure Yamaha or NI feels a need to keep you informed on their business dealings. mildbill Posted December 23, 2004 Author Share Posted December 23, 2004 i thought some patents ran out on the FM stuff, yamaha decided the FM well was dry, and that's why most synths from most manufacturers (hard and soft), include some form of fm - even if most of them are fairly limited.
