Remedy
Has anyone used any of the Joe Meek stuff. I'm doing some roots rock stuff and trying to get that real dry in your face sound(Brendin O'Brien ,Black Crowes, Pearl Jam). I'm using a digi001 , but i'm looking for some good compressors and pre's. Thanks
CarmenC
I use a Joe Meek VC1Q pre-amp,compressor,eq. I like it alot and think it would give you the sound your looking for (I'm thinking Lucinda Williams' last record). I'm at cocchi118@aol.com. Send me your email and I'll send you an MP3 of a cover I just did with the Meek. C An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last. Mats Olsson.
I've got a VC1 (v 3.3 if memory serves...). It has been a good addition to our arsenal of tools. It is getting a lot of use esp for vocals & electric bass. For the money asked I think they represent good value. /Mats http://www.lexam.net/peter/carnut/man.gif What do we want? Procrastination! bgroup
I have an SC2.2. I LOVE it! I like it on a lot of things. Bass, guitars, drums, keys, some vocals. The harder I hit it, the more I like it! I used to have a VC3. I liked it a lot too. Sold it to buy the SC2.2! Hope this helps. Brent Brent Bodrug www.bgroupmusic.com
Remedy
Thanks for all the feedback. Has anyone used them to get a slightly overdriven gridy kind of vocal?
