shniggens
HOw do you make the transition from one scale to the next when you are practicing all of the scales one at a time chromatically up the keys? For instance C scale descending down to Db scale back up, etc. Danke! Amateur Hack
petros
That's no problem except when connecting the E scale to the F scale and the B scale to the C scale is slighty odd. Descending the C scale your thumb lands down on C, then your 2nd finger is in perfect position to begin the Db scale. Scales that start on white keys begin with the thumb, scales starting on black keys begin with the second finger. Therfeore, you will be set up in a perfect position if going chromaticaly except between E scale and F scale and B scale and C scale. For the F scale you could either hop your thumb over or begin with 2345, then carry on as usual. With the C scale after the B scale either hop the thumb or begin the C scale with 234, then carry on as usual.
