Blues Disciple
Someone posted a week or so back that they were looking for Hammond Drawbar settings for some of the famous organ sounds of past great tunes. From the November 1991 Keyboard magazine---here are a few: The ELP sound: 888000000 C3 Vibrato on, Percussion on the third harmonic with short attack Green Onions: 888800000 (1st chorus) No vibrato, little percussion 808800008 (2nd chorus Tom Coster/Santana: 888800000 Vibrato on C3 Jesse Crawford setting: 800800000 Joey DeFrancesco (solo setting): 888400080 Vibrato on C3, Percussion on 3rd harmonic w/fast decay Rod Argent: 880000000 Percussion on second harmonic and chorus vibrato. If anyone knows some of the drawbar settings for some classic Gregg Allman songs (i.e, Dreams, Whipping Post, Not my Cross to Bear, etc), I love to know em. Oh yeah, anyone have 10 grand you can spot me? I've found a beautiful and perfect 1957 B-3 with a 122 Leslie for $ 10,000.....but alas I don't have the cash.
