Gregg Seibert
We use one of these with an iBook special edition. Works great. The mic preamps are a little dull sounding with a Shure SM57, but clean. Definitely usable. Gregg Without music, life would be a mistake - Nietzche QSC K10, Kurz PC3, K2500x, K2000R, Korg Z1, Roland A80, Roland S-750, 1970 MiniMoog, Synthi AKS, bunch of old rack modules. lightbg
I'm using this unit with a Pentium III-800, 256Meg sd100 ram, 30Gig HD, and Soundblaster Live card. All my slots are filled, so the USB port saves my bacon. I'm also using the bundled Cubasis software, but I am upgrading to Cubase 5. I had a couple of setup bugs, but nothing insurmountable. The Tascam site offers a great help resource with their US428 forum. It's a great box for my needs. 1967 B-3 w/(2) 122's, Nord C1w/Leslie 2101 top, Nord PedalKeys 27, Nord Electro 4D, IK B3X, QSC K12.2, Yamaha reface YC+CS+CP "It needs a Hammond"
