Sound Blaster PCI

Qfiz

Recommended Posts

I have a Sound Blaster PCI 64D card, and I am trying to setup MIDI. I have a Korg N364, and I attempted to use an editor/librarian to develop patches for company Soundtower. I was getting good MIDI Out, but NO MIDI In. Does anyone have experience with an SB PCI 64, to advise me?

Thanx

Hey,

I am not sure if this will help but you should check to see if the SB card is set to recieve MIDI from the proper port. The SB cards have a couple of different settings, like haveing the MIDI files trigger the synth that is built into the card or go out through the MIDI out port. You didn't say what software you are using but there should be a 'configure MIDI devices' option or something like that. Use that to check to see what the SB settings are set to.

Good luck

Kev

Thanks Kev. The product I was attempting to use was software called N-Edit Pro. I was getting MIDI out, but no MIDI in. I was running the N364 thru the "game port", and something about the MIDI set-up wasn't jiving. Might have been a glitch.

Thanks again
