Dave_dup14
Audio outs have such bad 60Hz hum that I can't record from keyboard. Problem if out to preamp or to Roland KC-500. Tried hum eliminator (Ebtech ground loop) and line conditioner. Also grounded keyboard. Any other solutions? Thanks. ------------------
Uh Clem
you might try some DI boxes that will balance the line and let you lift the ground. This helps sometimes. Otherwise, you have to figure out what is giving you the ground loop and get rid of it. synthfoolsynthfool.com
If the keyboard has hum in it's headphone output (if so equipped) while ONLY being hooked up to wall power (no other connections, midi, etc), then it's probably an internal problem such as a bad power supply, shorted part, broken ground, etc. Otherwise, running a DI box or transformers on the audio (and / or AC isolation transformer) should cure most ground loops, considering what you've already tried. Good luck, Kevin
