mrj4221hotmail.com
I am new to this forum - I am looking to purchase a inexpensive synth. Just looking for something to add texture and maybe some strange bells and whistles. I have a analog Tascam 4 track and a Yamaha PSR 220 along with my Laney guitar rig with a Yamaha effects processor.. I really like the sounds of Korey Cooper of the band Skillet. I really like the sound of a B-3 but I realize that runs into alot of money. Thanks Michael
Dave Bryce
The B3 sound doesn't run into a lot of money if you use Native Instruments B4 software. It has an MSRP of $199, and it is well worth the $$$. If you want a synth, depending on the type of music that you're playing and how much you want to spend, perhaps you can find a used Korg X5 or an Alesis QS6 Both of those have nice Hammond patches and a decent variety of textures and other useful tones. I would think that you should be able to find those for well under $500. Hope that helps, dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network
