Im about to copyright some of my bands stuff. Is there a "bible" out there for musicians?

Actually what books do you consider indespensible? either for keyboards, synths, recording, live sounds... Anything???

Im looking to start a book collection on anythinga and everything to do with music.

Thanks

Dave

For practical music business stuff, Donald Passman's "All You Need to Know about the Music Business" isn't bad.

"Sound Advice: A Musician's Guide to the Recording Studio" by Wayne Wadhams has creative, useful, and easy to understand advice for both the novice and the experienced recordist, whether using a commercial recording studio or trying it at home for the first time. This is the only book on the mechanics and creative side of recording that I truly enjoy and find myself going back to.

Brian Eno: His Music and the Vertical Color of Sound by Eric Tamm is fascinating.

Seven Years in Tibet by Henrich Harrer for determination, self-reliance, adventure, awe, and escapism.

"Women" by Charles Bukowski for a slightly seedier side to, uh, relationships with women?

"Finnegan's Wake" by James Joyce, for the sheer fun of it!! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif
