I am still very ignorant when it comes to MIDI, keyboards, drum beat software for PC, or drum synths & machines. It's not my ballpark although I believe I can put quality beats to my songs with the right equipment. My question is, what is the right avenue of the above things to start researching so I can begin laying down the last stage of my production...drums? I would be extremely happy if I could get by with good sounding drum beats from a keyboard or software for the PC, but is that the best bet for me in the long run?
