Is this for a cofie shop type gig? Just a bass and a drummer? If this is the case, coffee shop, bass and drums, I would use an acoustic set. An electric set could give you more variety. joeq Posted February 17, 2003 Share Posted February 17, 2003 If it's jazz I would bring a snare drum and brushes. Assuming it is Swing jazz. If its more of a funky type thing I would use a dumbek- you have a good high tone and a good low tone so you can imitate a kick/snare groove.
