totemspock Posted January 16, 2003 Share Posted January 16, 2003 I´ve been thinking, nowadays when toms are mounted with suspension,ISS mounting from pearl for example (if that´s what it´s called. Why don´t we mount the snaredrum the same way? I know that Tama have the Air-ride system, but why doesn´t any other drum-company follow Tamas lead? Is there something different with the snaredrum that doesnt have to mounted that way? Opinions? Bottomline: Is it important for the soundimprovement to mount drums this way?
