DrummerMom Posted December 31, 2002 Share Posted December 31, 2002 NAMMS INTERNATIONAL FASTEST DRUMMER CONTEST Do You Have What it Takes to be NAMMS INTERNATIONAL FASTEST DRUMMER?? The 2003 NAMM SHOW announces its quest to find the Fastest Drummer at this years Show. This highly charged Interactive Event will be a feature at this years Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, Ca. The contest which consist of two categories, Fastest Hands and Fastest Feet will be held each day in NAMMS Exhibit HALL E starting at 11:00am Thursday, January 16th, with heats continuing through Friday and Saturday until 4.00pm. The top ten Fastest Hands and top ten Fastest Feet will compete in a Finals Battle of both categories held on NAMM'S main outside stage at 1:00pm Sunday, January 19th. Included in this years event will be technical demonstrations, insight sessions and appearances by WFD Champions Mike Mangini, Art Verdi, Johnny Rabb, Tim Waterson and Jotan Afanador. To see these guys go at it, full throttle, smooth as silk with their hands and feet moving over 18 times per second for an entire minute is simply an amazing work of technical proficiency. The NAMM International Fastest Drummer Contest is sponsored by THE MUSIC EDGE.COM, NAMMs new teen promotional initiative and is open to everyone attending this years Winter NAMM Show. All contestants for both Hands and Feet Competition, will be scored on playing single strokes (no bounces, presses or buzz) for ONE MINUTE and recorded by the Drumometer. Grand-Prizes! for this years contest include: Two Mapex Drum-Sets, A year supply of ProMark Drum Sticks (with Winners name), Two sets of MEINL Cymbals, AXIS LongBoard A Double Pedal and 50 REMO Drum Heads. Contestants should sign in at NAMM International Fastest Drummer Contest stage area located in Exhibit Hall E starting the morning of Thursday, Jan. 16th. MAY THE FASTEST DRUMMER WIN!!!!!!!
