Crackerjack
Hello all, I am new to the forum. I have been browsing for a while but now have a question to ask. I was playing a gig at a bar last friday night and halfway through the second song I got severe cramps in my left foot (thank god it wasn't my right foot). I fought through them and was able to finish the set, but I was in severe pain. Does anyone know any exersises to help prevent this? Or what may have caused it? I will try eating banana's before our next gig but I don't think it was a potassiam deficiency.
Drumlooney
Hey crackerjack you might want to check your positioning of your hi-hat or the height of your throne, either one can give you cramps to the foot, but I must admit that I've never heard of the left foot cramping. D_dup3
Stretch your legs, feet & toes in all directions before & during the set(s).And stay as relaxed as you can!
Crackerjack
I am wondering if it may have been caused by melatonin (the sleeping aid). Has anyone ever taken melatonin and had a problem with cramps? I took some the night before the show and had a cramp and the other night I took some and had a cramp in my foot the evening after. Coincidence?
