Drumcanman Posted April 28, 2002 Share Posted April 28, 2002 Hello drummers in cyberspace.I am in the Process of writing a bassdumming bokk and I would like to give credit to the 1st person who used heel-tou double stroke rolls in their playing?I have already found out that Roberto Patticcia was using this tech. at Berkley in the 70's and he also wrote a couple of articles for MD back then too. Unfortunately Roberto is no longer with us so I have reached a stand still in history.Yes, Steve Gadd abd Joe Morello as well as a host of other single bass drummers use this technique but I am looking for the 1st drummer to uses double stroke rolls between their feet??
