Jazzman
Hi Folks, just something that was bothering me about older cymbals. There are a lot of used cymbals out there that have the hole in the bell oval in shape. This might be due to the cymbal being heavier at one end and stays in that position all of the time when played. Wear and tear. Can this hole be fixed, or do you have to find some material, like a small hose that will take up the gap between the post and the oval hole? I came across a cymbal that still sounded good but I did not want to buy it because of the oval hole in the bell. On my thread on new inventions this might be a good time to patent a device that fits like a grommet that can be crimped in position, and made of harder material, like stainless steel. This would get the hole back in shape. Now tell me that was invented!!!! ............ Jazzman
