How affordable? Your standard 5-piece rock kit sells for $895! 6-ply toms, 8-ply BD, 10-ply SD, all 100% maple; suspension mounts on toms; "sliding BD mount"; and limited lifetime warranty - an great combination of features and security! Conaway doesn't make nor sell stands, so all kits are "shell packs" (tho' he does include a SD stand). Several configurations are available, a wide range of finishes are offered, and you can have chrome, black, or brass colored hardware. Visit Conaway's web page for more information. I haven't broken down and bought a new kit yet, but I will definitely check them out when time comes for me to upgrade!
