felix stein
If I remember correctly the fundamental was very pronounced. They always sounded "gongy" to me...which is ok. They are a loud, well made cymbal but they were never big sellers, which is not a bad thing, because I never took much stock in how other people evaluated cymbals. Like all paistes, they probably sound better with music than by themselves. At least that is what I have always noticed about those things...their definition and balance from cymbal to cymbal, line to line is to me, remarkable. felix's band
MPCman
I have a Paiste Alpha 8" splash and a Paiste 802 10" splash and I'm quit happy with them. I can agree with Felix saying "they sound better with music than by themselves".
