rlhubley
I listen to music on my PC while I'm at my job. Right now the Police are on, and Tower of Power was on before them. As I was listening to "what is hip" i was thinking how cool it would be to find a transcription of the tune, or even of the groove. I could write it out, but i began to wonder if there is a website that offers drum transcriptions? Maybe I'll start one! I'm thinking a post type site. Do you know of any already out there? DrummerCafe
I have the groove for "What is Hip" ... and a quasi-chart, but not a full transcription ... like note for note. I'll see if I can dig it up for you. There are different sites on the Internet that offer transcriptions; but there isn't anyone (that I know of) that specializes in that. The problem is that most drummers don't read music. We've had this discussion people here on Drum Talk. You can find Drum Tab sites galore however. ------------------ Bart Elliott http://bartelliott.com Drummer Cafe - community drum & percussion forum
Gaddabout
Hey Bart, do you have a transcription for the groove at the end of "Man From The Past"? I'm in love with that groove, especially the way Garibaldi wrapped that puppy around the horn section. I have the video where he explains it, but I've been too lazy to sit there and transcribe it myself. If you've got it, maybe I can get a copy? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
