jlrush
This is the TRB5 I bought 3 weeks ago. I hope the pics come through this time. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r170/63p-bass/th_100_0474trbfulllength.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r170/63p-bass/th_100_0475trbbody.jpg http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r170/63p-bass/th_100_0475trbhead.jpg I think it was made about 1995 or so. The sound is really nice, with deep, warm lows and crisp mids and highs. There are also trim selectors inside for the mid selector knob and overall boost. It's well kept for a ten year old instrument. Sweet!! Visit my band's new web site. www.themojoroots.com

jlrush
by Tenstrum: Of course... Sound clips??? Man, it took me sooo long to figure out how to post pics here. A sound clip will be a future project. Someone's gonna have to tell me how to do it. I wish I had half of 09's knowledge of computers. I know you're a Yamaha guy, so let's just say that there are alot of the same sounds as your RBX, with more bottom end, and maybe more choices of mid control. I put on some GHS strings I had lying around and they sound real good. It seems to have good tone for slap, although I don't play that style very well. I can't wait to try some DR Fat Beams or LaBellas on it. Visit my band's new web site. www.themojoroots.com

jlrush
Thanks ya'll. The TRB's really are some bad boys, and IMHO can hold their own with a lot of basses costing much more. in Picker's sig: Yeah, what of it? Mike, that reminds me so much of growing up in Kansas City.
