Salvador
When I was growing up, I was laso surrounded by music, mostly latin, but I did not played anything until high school. I started listening to metal, and then everything changed when I heard Rush for the first time....then it was Prog;Yes,Kansas,Jethro Tull.... and then it was Patitucci,Jaco,etc.... I was lucky to have the desire to learn properly from the beginning; buying books and learn theory and jam with people who knew what they were doing. At the same time I started, a certain bass magazine started too, and I really have to credit them(and the guitarist friend of mine who introduced me to it).The interviews and the music reviews led me to check out players like Stanley Clarke,Jaco Pastorius, as well as many musical styles like African music.
