Ironstorm Posted October 25, 2006 Share Posted October 25, 2006 Hi it sounds to me like you have a twisted neck or warped neck. You need to have your truss rod adjusted make sure the neck is straight. Also if your bass has a bolt on neck make sure the neck is sitting in the pocket tight and all the screws are tight. Have the intonation checked. The other problem is that you are playing too hard muteing is something you have to learn how to do. But here`s a tip from someone whose been playing for 30 years , play relaxed and softly and turn the volume up on your amp you will play smoother faster and sound better for example look at some Who dvd`s and watch how John Entwistle plays you will see relaxed fast smooth playing with a GREAT SOUND..
