Phil W
I took a lesson from this guy this Summer. Incredible player! He started the lesson (on soloing)at a very high level too which I appreciated as I'm still learning from it. He's influenced by guys like Michael Brecker and Mike Stern in the way he solos. Check out the music on his site. Some of it (like Planet X) is not to my taste but his playing is phenomenal. http://www.rufusbass.com/ "Rufus is, I believe, one of the finest bassists to emerge from Europe in the last ten years." -- Matt Garrison http://philwbass.com
jmrunning3
Man, that guy sounds amazing. I'm not usually much for jazz, but I liked what I was hearing. -- Joe -- "If you think you're too old, then you are." --Lemmy Kilmister "I have not seen a man who is not god already." --Austin Osman Spare

Moe Monsarrat
I'm usually not a big fan of bass solos, but some guys are so good you gotta give it up. Rufus is bad to the bone! "Shoot low, most of 'em are ridin' ponies"
Phil W
Decent bloke too! And a very challenging teacher. He pitched the level very, very high and I'm still absorbing most of what he taught. http://www.myspace.com/rufusbass http://philwbass.com
