h364 Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 I Was Just Thinking About This Head Trace Elliot GP12 SMX 300W Bass Amp Head, with this Ashdown MAG-410T Deep Tweeter Cab, i just wanted to know your thoughts, and also how loud could i expect to get from the rig? josh a Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 Well, that would be fine. Most cabs are rated 8 ohm, the resistance of the cabinet. Two 8 ohm cabinets make 4 ohms (near enough) so you can either run two 8 ohm cabs, or one 4 ohm cab, or one 8 ohm cab from that amp. The less the ohms the more power the amp puts out so buying one 4 ohm cab means more power. But you wouldn't be able to add any more cabinets, but that's ok because that's even more big and heavy.
