wraub
RIP to a true musician who became a star, for too short a time. My condolences to his family and friends. Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
Bottomgottem
Billy Preston dead at 59. The Beatles refered to him as "the fifth Beatle". That speaks volumes about the man in my book. A great loss to the world of music. My whole trick is to keep the tune well out in front. If I play Tchaikovsky, I play his melodies and skip his spiritual struggle. ~Liberace

moot
A damn shame. Billy Preston was a staple when I was growing up. His resume and style are rare in the music world. RIP Billy "He is to music what Stevie Wonder is to photography." getz76 I have nothing nice to say so . . .

silver32012
Billy will most definitely be missed. What a great musician. I can only dream about a musical resume like his. Loved his work, especially with The Beatles. RIP Billy!
Nicklab
A truly sad story. I got my first impressions of him through Let It Be when I started to really get into The Beatles. His contributions, both through playing and just by virtue of his presence helped to save that record and The Beatles so that they might continue to the end on Abbey Road. His contributions later on with George Harrison were always notable. And one of the emotional highlights for me in Concert For George was Billy Preston singing "My Sweet Lord". Thank you for the music Billy. Obligatory Social Media Link "My concern is, and I have to, uh, check with my accountant, that this might bump me into a higher, uh, tax..."
