zeronyne
Went to my local Mom and Pop shop today, and they had a used Jazz that piqued my interest. Can someone tell me the provenance of a Jazz with white pickup covers and a one piece pickguard? In other words, the part that is usually chrome under the knobs is instead part of the white guard. Is this an Elite? "For instance" is not proof.
Basshappi
I found an example of one HERE It lists it as a 1983 model, but I can't read the headstock. I'll keep looking. jeremy c
I had a Jazz bass like that. Mine was sunburst but it had the one piece white pickguard and the white pickup covers. I bought it the early 80's. That's just what Jazz basses looked like for a few minutes. I'll dig out a picture of it and I probably can even find the serial number somewhere. Do you have a serial number for the one you are asking about? The Elite basses were Precisions, not Jazzes. They had either one P pickup or two of them and they had a very different bridge...and some of them had fine tuners on the bridge. Free download of my cd!. zeronyne
I'll get the s/n tomorrow. Thank much. I'm just wondering if it's worth getting...I haven't asked about the price yet, but it plays like butter. "For instance" is not proof.
Basshappi
GC Instrument Exchange is auctioning one with a starting price of $1399. SEE Found another place where one sold for $1000. Nothing is as it seems but everything is exactly what it is - B. Banzai Life is what happens while you are busy playing in bands.
