HowieKrishna
Don't know if anyone can help me (so true for most of my life! ) or if it can be done at all -- but here goes: I'm doing some mods on a project bass and for cosmetic reasons would like the currently-installed Bartolini 8SP to match the control knobs and pickguard, which are a vintage parchment or cream color. Is there any way I can changs the P/U covers on the Bartolini? Thanks! Thomas Wilburn
Would it be enough to just paint them? It shouldn't cause any problems electrically to pull the pickups out and (with proper masking) take some cream-colored spray enamel to them. David King
Anything is possible. You can peel the covers off the Barts and re-pot them in ivory covers and then fill the pole-piece holes with matching dots. I'd give you a 35% success rate on that operation. HowieKrishna
Hmm... I may have to rethink this color scheme.... David King
There is an ivory J cover set available from Korea that doesn't have the pole-piece holes. Never seen one here though... http://wscmusic.com/1024/guitar_part/pickup_replacement.htm

Thanks -- at least now I know they're out there. How did you google it? Now if I can find the P's to match I'll be all set! I know there are pickups out there that are sold in various colors and I probably should just go out and buy them -- but I hate to give up my Barts.
