Fear not, brothers and sisters, my initials can still be found at banks, casinos, tourist locations, and convenience stores everywhere. I'm just reprising my role from Halloween last year. Looks like someone else got my Ford Prefect name, so I had to embellish it a bit. My brother who lives in Portland drove by and called me from his car to tell me about it. I said, "go get your digital camera and get a picture," so here it is. The gravestones are for the dear departed bass players and have dates of birth and death. He's got: Domenico Dragonetti, Giovanni Bottesini LeRoy Vinnegar (who's from Portland) Scott LaFaro Ray Brown Charles Mingus the token electric player, Jaco Pastorius and Serge Koussevitzky Giants all, and may they rest in peace...unless they want to rise on Halloween and give us a concert!
