Tenstrum
If you like country, honky tonk, rock-a-billy, blue grass, americana, Buddy Holly on crack, high energy sounding bands then you need to check these guys out!!! I saw a rebroacast of a taped TV performance they did back in April and I was enthralled!!! I sat for an hour mesmerized, watching these guys sing, play, and have a good time. They are awesome! Going to go pick some of their albums up today! http://www.br5-49.com/ Tenstrum "Paranoid? Probably. 57pbass
I have seen them perform several times and have most of their albums.. highly recomended I caught them at Roberts Bar in Nashville before they hit and they where amazing. I have seen them in NYC a few times as well.. always a great high energy show with great players / great songs and great vocals.. I think they have gone through some personnel changes recently... FYI - BR 549 is Junior Samples phone number # from the show Hee Haw... www.danielprine.com

Snowdog79
I've actually been lucky enough to open for 'em twice--they're great guys, and KILLER live.
Dave Brown
For those who have XM: Why can I hear entire segments of the Laugh-in show, but NOT Hee Haw? Yep. I'm the other voice in the head of davebrownbass.

Chad Thorne
In Maine we don't refer to ourselves as "rednecks" so much as "chicken farmers" and "sh*tkickers". Nonetheless, we also loved our Hee-Haw; my family never missed it. They've just released a lot of those shows on DVD. I'm going to get mine - as soon as I hit the lottery... http://www.timelife.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=
davebrownbass
Can you believe they are twenty bucks per DVD? Still, those classic country performances are incredible. Bottomgottem
Thanks for the link, chad! I saw Roy Clark perform last year and he was selling the Hee-Haw DVD's at stage-side. He did not have anywhere near that selection. I picked up a couple and got them autographed. My wife thinks I'm a hick now. My whole trick is to keep the tune well out in front. Along with Don Rich of the Buckaroos and many other fine instrumentalists, the DVDs are well worth 20 bones IMO. And let's not forget the "Hee-Haw Honeys"... I'm doing a solo acoustic gig at a coffee house Friday evening. I'm going to play "Gentle On My Mind" and anybody that doesn't like, well, that's just too bad! I JUST borrowed that tape from the library last week and watched it fo the first time. Billy Bob Thornton - wrote, directed, starred in "Slingblade", married Angelina Jolie. My hero...
