Rog
What do you want to do? Double-track the voice or add a delay? "That's what the internet is for. Slandering others anonymously." - Banky Edwards.
Hippie
There are 2 ways I do it, the quick way where you track the same vocal (one pass) to 2 tracks and delay one of them by 10 - 30 ms. or the 'preferred' way where I'll track the vocal 2 seperate times, also on their own tracks. This way sounds more realistic due to the subtle variations in the tracks. Matt In two days, it won't matter.
KenElevenShadows
I have the vocalist sing the same part twice, and then pan them slightly (1:00 & 11:00 or more if I am trying to get a really obvious, more expansive sort of sound). I'm assuming that you are talking about a lead vocal part with lyrics. It thickens the vocals.
