Tenstrum
Interesting article. It talks about Tim's quest for tone. Even his use of left handed necks to get a longer B string. Tenstrum "Paranoid? Probably. But just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face." Harry Dresden, Storm Front

dohhhhh6
I remember hearing that Tim Commerford wasn't really initiated into music theory at all until he had to be in Audioslave. Everyone grows... except when it comes to being paranoid about your own tone... I doubt he'll ever grow out of that. In Skynyrd We Trust
musicfiend
Well, I wouldn't go that far da lady, in rage the guys simply laid down riff rock. 'Twas there thing and they made it groove just as well. It was still pretty diverse...kinda..so why change it. As Audoslave emerged Tim decied to try some new approaches, hence el string de "B"", and new songwriting techniques, ahem.....chord progressions. Hiram Bullock thinks I like the band volume too soft (but he plays guitar). Joe Sample thinks I like it way too loud (but he plays piano). -Marcus Miller
