The Fonz
i really ought to know this, or at least be able to figure it out via physics, but i have a question. having recently installed a new bridge, my intonation is slightly off. now, if the fretted note at the 12th fret is sharp of the natural harmonic at the 12th fret does the saddle get moved towards the bridge or toward the nut? Eeeeeehhhhhhhhh.
Dave Brown
If a note is too sharp, make the string longer. Yep. I'm the other voice in the head of davebrownbass.

Fred TBP
Simple, isn't it? Harmonics will get you 99% of the way there. However, you'll find sometimes on the lower strings that, because of compromises in fret placement... Nope, I better not say anything. Never mind. No one will notice anyway. Just crank it up.
