Basskickerboy
K, so, I just got done screwing the casters on the bottome of my amp. The casters have plates, so there were four screw holes each. Used a drill bit screwed a little hole, screwed in the screws nice and tight, works fine, much more convenient thatn trying to carry it everywhere. Costed about 25 bucks total for screws and casters. But I have a qwestion. Now that I have a new set o wheels for my baby, can I sit on it anymore, or is that unsafe for the bottom of my amp? Big Red 67
Depends on the weight rating of the wheels. If you spent 25 buck on them then they should hold up. If they look industrial not decorative is another thing. Big Red's Ride Blog
Basskickerboy
im pretty sure the weight ratingll be cool, its the wood on the bottom im worried about, i just dont want to be sitting there and hear the sound of ri;pping wood.

Yeah, as long as the casters are solid your fine. Screws have a way of holding an incredible abount of weight. I am pretty sure an 1.5 inch drywall screw can deal with about 500 pounds of pressure. Dont know what kind of screws you used but there are 16 of them so they aren't going anywhere. -Chris Hobo Libido on MySpace Bipolar Express on MySpace
RHINO_ROB
depends on how thick the wood is, how close the casters are to the corners, and how much you weigh.
Basskickerboy
OK, I weigh 200, my amp, 60. The screws(16) are 3/4", and the wood is about that thick, The casters are pretty close to the corner, as close as the oversized corners of the Rumble will allow, and each wheel supports 125 lbs. Fred TBP
If you put them on the SIDE of the amp instead of the bottom (like I suggested on an earlier posting) you wouldn't have asked this question. Isn't that search function something?
Basskickerboy
That was actually talked at me, so I didn't really need the search function, sorry. I didn't get it why u'd put them on the side, but suddenly now it dawned on me. Bummer dude.
