Clark Dark
I am trying to find out some info about the Stars Guitars onboard two band active tone control I purchased in the early 80's for my bass guitar. It has a volume control, a bass control, a treble control and two toggles that cut and boost the treble and bass. The company is no longer in business but I am hoping that someone might be able to shed a little light for me. Maybe you know a contact where I can get help on wiring the toggles because I had built the circuit into a pedal and loaned it out but after getting it back I saw that some of the soldered joints had come apart and I am up a tree trying to figure it out.Anyone have a working knowledge of On-Board active tone control sold by Stars Guitars during the late 70's and early 80's ? I need help wiring it because I've lost the directions I would appreciate any light one can shed on this subject.
Mr. Phil
I'm not sure about the company, but maybe if you take a nice big picture of what you need to work on, and post it here, we could probably figure it out. Maybe try googling, if you haven't already. http://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/blue.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/black.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/fuscia.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/grey.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/orange.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/purple.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/red.JPGhttp://www.briantimpe.com/images/LDL/dots/yellow.JPG
Cthulhu Fhtagn
Try visiting www.guitarelectronics.com I don't know a lot about it, or if they would have info on yours, but I've been to the site and they have lots of info. Look around of a damned good luthier in your area. They may be able to tell you volumes just by looking at the gear.
