57pbass
There are two products that I am curious about 1st- In the current Bass Player ( Dave Holland )on page 88 - product spotlight page there is a 100 watt combo tube amp from Nady Systems with a SRP of $499 which would mean maybe $399 ish in the stores? Thats not a bad price for an all tube bass combo with a 15 considering a new Ampeg B -15 is $2000? Any thoughts? 2nd item is from the Brian Wilson issue on page 67. Its the EBS Micro Bass II.. Its an A/B box, a headphone amp, a pre amp, a direct box, its an overdrive pedal all in one and its only 2 lbs. but costs $800. Looks like a nice tool to have but thats a steep price. www.danielprine.com
mcbn
My previous band bought a Nady poweramp. It was garbage. The power ratings were way off. We just weren't happy with the thing.

Fred TBP
Nady makes wireless units, not amplifiers. Yes, I know you said they do, but they must've decided to enter the market very recently. Stay away from them for at least three years. Most companies entering this market tend to make mistakes that consumers wind up paying for as they learn how to build a cost-effective product to compete in this industry. As for EBS, they make some nifty pedals, albeit very pricey. They're either out of Norway or Sweeden. Supposedly they have the best bass octave generator unit for under $1,000. Never seen one outside of a magazine. Hmm. Time to go shopping. Repeat: STAY AWAY from new amplifiers! The old stuff is the good stuff, IMHO. _Sweet Willie_
Fred, EBS is in Sweden. I got one of their MultiComp compressor pedals used from BassNW for a decent price. I dig it. 57p, I think that EBS box looks very cool -- but definitely costly. Peace. --s-uu spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.
