bassdrummer
My wife and I auditioned for this musical production. We both got parts. I'm playing Reuben, Joseph's oldest brother. She's playing one of the wives. We both started our dance rehearsals tonight. And I thought playing bass was hard. Dance: a whole new challenge for me. We'll be singing quite a bit too, of course. Wish us luck! "All the world's indeed a stage, and we are merely players..." --Rush, "Limelight"
Basshappi
Congrats! My kids love that show. There is some good music in it. Enjoy and keep us informed as it develops. jeremy c
Break a leg! I've played that show many times, usually as a ringer in a band of jr. high school kids. Ugh. I think it would be more fun to be on stage. Free download of my cd!.

dcr
Wasn't Reuben the one who'd planned to go back & fetch Joseph later, after he'd "learned his lesson"? He was plenty pissed when he went back to an empty hole in the ground... All that to say, you get to play the best of a lot of rotten brothers! Seriously, congrats. That sounds like a blast. bassdrummer
Thanks everyone. It is fun (in a frustrating way) trying to learn these dance routines. Here I thought I was so "coordinated" since I play drums. Ha! The cool thing is that my wife and I are doing this together. She has said in the past that she'd be much more supportive of me being involved in a band (that is, above and beyond my church's worship team, which is the only group I play in currently) if we could be involved in a musical production together first. So I jumped at this chance...yeah, I know; alterior motives... ... And it'll be fun to make some new friends as well. Not to mention the exercise. I won't have to go to the gym while doing all this cardiovascular dance work!
