KenElevenShadows
Never used a compressor with presets before. As long as the compressor works well, I suppose the presets could only be an added bonus, and allow the user to hopefully see what the logic is between different kinds of musical passages. Maybe it's a nice starting point. Not familiar with either of those two units, so I don't know which is better. ------------------ Ken/Eleven Shadows/d i t h er/Nectar http://www.elevenshadows.com 4 music, travel, more! http://www.cdbaby.com/elevenshadows Ken Lee Photography - photos and books Eleven Shadows ambient music The Mercury Seven-cool spacey music Linktree to various sites Instagram Nightaxians Video Podcast Eleven Shadows website Ken Lee Photography Pinterest Page
chessparov
I have a Presonus Blue Max, street price about $160, that has presets and sounds good for a novice like me. For just a little more at www.mercenary.com you could get an FMR RNC (Really Nice Compressor), and even though it doesn't have presets, it's supposed to sound better than the Blue Max.
