Ben
The new Epifani and Aguilar 500 amps look virtually identical. Anybody know if they are?

The Epifani has two independent clean channels and a class A/B output stage (or maybe class G or H but fundamentally conventional) The Aguilar has switchable clean and distorted channels and a class D output stage. The Epifani looks perfect for doublers, whilst the Aguilar for electric players that want switchable EQ or distortion and the Aguilar sound in a lightweight amp. I wouldn't say no to either of them, but I suspect the prices will not be too wallet friendly! 73 P Bass
Aren't Epifani and Aguilar both made in Brooklyn? I wonder if that accounts for any similarities? "Start listening to music!". -Jeremy C
